On November22, SeeYA Technology senior vice president Bo Liu, on behalf of chairman Tier Gu, gave a speech on the next-generation display, the traits of OLED in silicon displays, and its applications in the new electronics products at the 2019 World Conference On Display Industry (referred to as WCODI 2019).
Bo said, “the next-generation displays will apparently be developed with 5G and IoT capability to achieve multiperson sharing and super immersion. It can instantly take people wherever they want to go and integrate into their lives. With them, the way people interact will be changed. We define this display as “near-eye display.”
Near-eye display is a display solution that is only for personal use but with unlimited imagination. It must have a PPI ≥ 3000, a single-display resolution of at least 4K, a brightness of 3000nits or above, and a refresh rate of 90Hz. These can be realized by the OLEDoS displays developed by SeeYA Technology. SeeYA’s “tiny display but huge image” OLEDoS displays + Optics solutions can be applied to a wide range of devices, such as VR, AR, wearable display, EVF, FPV, thermal imager, gunsight, and other types of equipment. These are also suitable for gaming, movie viewing, simulation training, security, medical services, etc.
SeeYA Technology is the only company that focuses on developing, producing, and selling OLEDoS displays produced on 12-inch wafers. SeeYA Technology has lit up the highest-resolution OLEDoS display: the 1.03″ OLEDoS display with a resolution of 2560 × 2560 and the 0.72″ OLEDoS display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 in July 2019.
